Helaine Friedlander is the Senior Project Manager for the Center for Faculty Development and Diversity.  In this role, she is responsible for the management of both large scale strategic and operational projects focused on the development of educational and other resources, programs and services for faculty with primary academic interest in medical education and/or patient care.  In addition to designing and implementing programs in response to identified needs, she conducts research on national trends and best practices in faculty development and diversity.  She also collaborates with the Executive Director and respective administrative directors on relevant Center-wide initiatives while serving as the principal resource for Continuing Professional Development/Medical Education (CPD/CME) within the Center. Prior to joining the staff at CFDD, Helaine managed the Late Entry Accelerated Program (LEAP) and graduate financial aid for the College of Engineering at Boston University.   Previously, she worked as a Senior Clinical Social Worker on the Addictions Consultation and Education Service within the BWH Dept. of Psychiatry and as an Employee Assistance Professional for the BWH/Partners EAP.  She earned her MSW from Rutgers University and her Master of Education in Counselor Education from Boston University.
